UK based tiling and interiors supplier collapses into administration
A UK-based tiling and home interiors supplier has entered administration, resulting in the redundancy of its 133 employees. Joint administrators Dane O'Hara and Neil Bennett from Leonard Curtis were appointed on October 31, 2025. Administrators are seeking to sell the company in question's assets to a third party, though no offers currently preserve staff positions. All retail outlets are closing, except the head office and Banbury warehouse, which will remain operational to fulfil outstanding customer orders. Founded in Oxfordshire in 1983, Fired Earth became known for its tiling products and later expanded into high-end paint and rugs. Despite reporting nearly £15 million in turnover, the company posted a £1.6 million loss in 2024, following a similar loss in 2023.
